Black Friday

There are two words that make my body shiver.. no the two words aren't multiple orgasms. Well those words do make my body shiver but a different kind of shiver, and give me a big smile
BLACK FRIDAY does not give me a big smile!
I stay far, far away from any stores when that dreaded day comes around every year.
I'm not the kind of person who likes to shop anyway.  When I have to go shopping I have money and I know exactly what I want/need and get the hell out of there.

I tagged along with a friend last year to Walmart and couple of other stores for Black Friday.
From the moment I walked in I was in awe.  I couldn't believe there were so many people there.
There were pallets and pallets of items and there were crowds of people standing next to those specific pallets waiting for them to get unwrapped.

I was baffled that these people had been standing in the same spot for who knows how long waiting for that item.  And, they couldn't get the item until a certain time.

Me and my friend got separated. I was NOT happy.. all of a sudden a freaking bull horn or some sort of siren went off and then terror spread across my face.  I seriously found a small place to hide from the madness.  The shrink wrap was ripped off the pallets and people started screaming.  I really thought something was wrong.. I thought, oh  my god, there must be a bomb in the store, why would these people be screaming.  I stuck my head out of my hiding place and realized these crazy ass people are screaming and fighting of towels!!! REALLY! TOWELS!

I finally found my friend.. I was horrified. "Amber, what the fuck is wrong with these people?"
She laughed.. I could see in her eyes. Oh my god, she is one of these people.

That was the first and last time I have ever attended any Black Friday anything.

So, this year I'm in a new town.. and my friend is begging me to go with her.
Yep, my answer.. "NOPE, NO THANKS, HELL NO AND HAVE FUN!!"

I'm not even going to look at one Black Friday Ad, I don't want to know what kind of "deals" I will be missing while I'm snuggled in my bed.
YES!! I GOT A SET OF HAND TOWELS
AND SAVED $5.00.

So to all the Black Friday shoppers who plan to join the madness this year..
Have fun, I wish you all the best deals!

Thanks for reading

WTF.. Wednesday!

I have a complaint.. of course I do, seems like all I do is complain.
I know that one day I will look back at these complaints of mine and smile.
But, here's what my pissing me off today.

Actually, this has made me stop and wonder for a very long time, but never really said it out loud.

There are many different people in this world, I secretly wish everyone were like me.. it would make my life so much easier.  Since that isn't the case.  I see 2 main types of people.

There are people who work their ass off and still struggle for every little thing they have.  They are grateful for the little things they have, because these people have lived without simple things like having a car.  Or buying new clothes for their kids.  These people believe in God and pray for non-selfish things.  They pray and thank God for everything they have in their life.  These are the people who get shit on!
Seriously, it's like a never ending streak of bad luck.  Not really sure if I believe in luck.  But if I do. Son of a biscuit eater I definitely have very bad luck.

The type of person I explained above is me and my family.

Then, there is another type of person.  If they work at all, they don't put their all into it. They really have no goals in their life.  They have no problem using other people to get what they want.  So, these selfish types of people get everything handed to them.  They always have gas in their car, shit.. they always have a car.  A place to live and everything in between.  They don't seem to worry about anything.  They don't thank God for anything!
But, they continue to get everything.  Do they have good luck?

This is so very hard for me to even put into words.  It boggles my mind.  I just want to understand, what the "good" people did to deserve to be shit on over and over?

I'm also not believing in "what comes around goes around."
It's like a boomerang.. I throw a good thought out into the universe.  The boomerang goes out and stops by the zoo.. picks up some elephant shit and then comes back and slams me right in the kisser!

This question is probably like asking someone what heaven looks like.  It won't ever be explained.
I know I'm not the only person, who is going through hard times.
But, I just wanted to put that out there.

Thanks for reading,
xoxo

The pushover just stood up....

Watch out..  "Pushover Ellen" just got up and I'm ready to push back.

I'm so sick and tired of being pushed down and just staying there.

I figured out why I do it...
I don't like confrontation, adding fuel to the fire.

Well, screw that, everyone else around me has no problem with doing it.
So I'm wiping the shit off my head and if someone ends up stepping in it and slipping, OH WELL.. I'm not going to apologize for it.

Why is okay, for someone to act like an ass to me or my kids?
Then that same person a few minutes or hours later ask me what wrong?
I tell them what my "problem" is, and they say, oh you're still mad about that?
WHAT THE HELL.. YEAH I'M STILL FUCKING MAD!!!!

I'm told I need to get over it.. because they are over it.
So, what do I do? I get over it. It really isn't that hard for me, I just put it out of my mind so I don't make anyone feel uncomfortable.

I'm done with that though, I've decided that I will stay mad as long as I want.  I will get over it when I'm over it.  I don't care if it's not a "godly" way to act.  I'm not God.  (Just so you know)
I try to be a good, loving, generous person.  And this is how I'm paid back?

There are 2 important things in my life.. those are my kids!
You mess with them, talk like a asshat to them, you will now be pushed back right down where you belong.

Thanks for reading my rant for the day

Dear Mom,

Dear Mom,

I'm sure I've told you this before but.. "YOU WERE RIGHT!"   You were right about everything!!
You used to give me advice all the time, and I thought you were an idiot.  What the hell did you know?
You were just this old lady and I was young and full of life and invincible.
So, all the advice and wise words you shared with me.. Thank you!  I know now. I guess better late than never.

I want to apologize for being such a horrible bitch of a teenager.  I have no excuse, so I won't even try to give you one.  Thank you for standing by me and letting me be who I was or at least who I thought I was.

Thank you for being a silly mom.. I'm also a silly mom.  I love that I don't act my age.  And I loved that you didn't act yours either.

I miss, not being able to call you when something happens in my life. I talk to you all the time, but I miss hearing your voice.

I miss sitting with you in the morning over our coffee and making fun of the people on the news.

Forgetting that you were in the shower and hearing you bang on the wall for me.. And you never got mad, you only laughed. God, I felt awful for those couple times. (luckily we never ran out of hot water)

I miss watching movies with you, The scary one's never scared you.
The one's with sex and the one's that said the "Big Black Word".  (how grossed out you would get) and we would laugh together.

Thank you for being the best Mom-Mom to my children.

Emilie and Mom-Mom (After Emilie did a make-over)

Thank you for giving me the privilege of living with me so I can take care of you the last year of your life.

Thank you for being my mom.

I miss you everyday!  Will this feeling ever go away??

Everything I've written above, I've either apologized for or we've talked about.

I just wanted to say it again.

Love,
Ellen

P.S.
I'm having a bad night, and I felt like talking to you.  You always made me feel better.
